JOB GOAL
Under the direction of the Chief College and Career Officer, the director will work with district faculty/staff to plan, deve lop and provide support in the advancement of the district college and ca reer readiness programs in the district by maintaining a sustainable college- going atmosphere in each HPS district.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience
• Experience in college counseling and/or school administration (preferred)
• Master' s Degree (preferred)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Understands and supports the mission, vision, and values of Harmony Public Schools.
• Believes and supports that there is a 4- year college/university for every student regardless of their socio- economic status or background and all students are capable of going to a 4- year college or university
• Creates access to college resources and opportunities available to support all students in PreK- 12.
• Supports staff members in the College and Career Readiness Department at HPS.
• Provides leadership and management to all College and Career Readiness programs
• Collaborates with individual administrators and staff regarding the planning, staffing, organizing, and implementation of quality programs
• Collaborates with business partne rs and community agencies to develop additional programs, which align with goals and objectives of Harmony Public Schools
• Designs challenging College and Career Readiness programs using appropriate curriculum.
• Develops professional development activities f or College and Career staff and teachers that align with district goals.
• Develops yearly budgets and organizes district- wide College and Career programs
• Approves all expenditures and operates all programs within the approved budget.
• Complies with federal and state agency mandates.
• Develops professional development activities for College and Career staff and teachers that align with district goals.
• Analyzes AP, SAT, PSAT, TSI, ACT test results and benchmarks and creates a plan and programs accordingly.
• Prepares system wide proper data collection for annual/quarterly/monthly/weekly report and program evaluation.
• Tracks and reports district CCMR data and creates strategies to achieve HPS Board CCMR goals for each district.
• Provides effective professional development opportunities to college and career counselors
• Attends training, conferences, workshops, etc., as appropriate to enhance job knowledge and skills.
• Id entifies problem areas and meets with various stakeholders including campus- level and district-level administrators to develop action plans to improve services.
• Provides feedback and recommends appropriate action and solutions to the district's academic an d educational needs and abilities.
• Guides and trains district staff in understanding and utilizing SchooLinks, Skyward and the college admission data management system.
• Maintains SchooLinks and Skyward data
• Works with campus and districts to create effec tive scheduling
• Oversees scheduling process and provides support to district on Skyward
• P erforms other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the district.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.
• Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
• Position is in office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
• Moderate travel is required.
