    Job Description

    Position Summary
    The Learning Extension Program Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of both our school-based tutoring program as well as any partnerships with before and after-school providers in order to supplement the core instructional and experiential program for our students. This is a school-based, 12 month, grant-funded position that reports directly to the school Principal.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Coordinates, organizes and oversees the daily operations, activities and services of the tutoring program at their school and liaises with the tutoring agency (if applicable)
    • Coordinates, organizes and oversees the daily operations of before/after school partnerships and liaises with the provider/agency (if applicable)
    • Interviews, selects, trains, and supervises of tutors and manages the onboarding process for tutors
    • Manages the tutoring program schedule and staffing to ensure that tutors are assigned to classrooms & students, that tutors have the operational information they need to deliver tutoring (i.e. schedule/location), and manages coverages for tutors in case of absences
    • Coordinates with classroom teachers, grade-team leads, and members of the leadership team to provide high-level data on student performance
    • Coordinates with the Director of Operations to schedule and allocate space for tutoring sessions
    • Manages the tutors and provides coaching on organizational skills, instructional delivery, use of technology, and material management
    • Maintains inventory of materials and supplies and manages the process for replenishment, coordinating with the school leader on budgetary matters
    • Drives the development and implementation of operational and administrative program policies and procedures
    • Collaborates with the school leadership team to ensure cohesive and routine communication with families, managing direct communication with families regarding the tutoring program and infusing communication into broader school communication initiatives
    • Other responsibilities as assigned by the school leader

    • Depth of knowledge in a particular subject area (e.g., Math or ELA) or grade band (e.g., elementary, middle or high school) strongly preferred
    • Experience managing a tutoring or similar program strongly preferred
    • Experience working in a school setting required
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Complete all required criminal and child abuse background checks:
      • PA State Police Clearance
      • PA Child Abuse Clearance
      • Cogent Federal Fingerprinting
