    SUMMARY:
    As a member of the Adams 12 Assistive Technology Team, you will direct assistive technology consultations/assessments with follow-up services for students ages 3 to 21.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     1. Provide expert assistive technology consultations and assessments with accompanying research, documentation and reports
    2. Identify, design, and/or recommend appropriate augmentative and/or alternative modes of communication. Provide ongoing support on integration.
    3. Develop, facilitate, and present trainings, orientations and demonstrations
    4. Stay abreast of current assistive technology developments and strategies by reading current literature, interacting with related agencies, visiting programs, attending workshops and conferences, and researching on the internet
    5. Participate in multidisciplinary team decision-making processes related to the Assistive Technology needs of individual students
    6. Document and maintain service delivery logs and submit paperwork for Medicaid billing in a timely manner
    7. Research funding sources and assist in the process of funding to acquire needed assistive technology
    8. Perform other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
    - Master's degree in speech/language pathology (preferred)
    - Master's degree in special education related field (required)
    - Teaching experience and knowledge of standard curriculum
    - Two years experience working with assistive technology

    LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:
    ? Criminal background check required for hire
    ? Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Colorado Educator's License
    ? Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for moderate amount of local travel

    SALARY INFORMATION (FOR EXTERNAL CANDIDATES):
    All salary placement on our Certified Salary schedule is dependent on the employees' education and/or work experience. Certified/licensed employees will be granted one (1) year for each full year of contractual and/or work experience up to a maximum of ten (10) years, which includes in-district and out-of-district contractual teaching and/or work experience. Responsibility for verification of outside experience shall rest with the individual employee.
