Glenbrook High School District 225 is seeking a candidate to fill a School Counselor position for Summer School (2021). The candidate must be fully qualified in the state of Illinois. Daily attendance is mandatory for all teachers.

The summer school counselor will assist staff members as needed during summer school. Specifically the counselor will provide:

• Teachers with historical data on student performance
• Help with balancing the student schedule for the upcoming school year
• Maintain communication with parents regarding student performance in summer school
• Provide 504 and IEP plans to summer school teachers in order to provide appropriate support for the student
• Provide oversight for administration of test accommodations for students with IEP/5-4
• Provide academic and social-emotional support to students in summer school
• Assist summer school principal and dean of students in the operation of summer school
• Provide assistance to the special education programs and coordination of students completion of summer school curriculum

Summer School Dates and times:

• Semester 1 are June 14, 2021 through July 1, 2021
• Semester 2 are July 7, 2021 through July 27, 2021

Class hours are from 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM
