Extended School Year (ESY) services are special education and related services provided to qualifying students with disabilities beyond the regular 180-day school calendar. Interruptions in special education programming may result in children with disabilities losing many basic skills. ESY services are provided during breaks in the educational schedule to prevent this loss. Other duties as assigned.

Salary :
Salary: 80% of Daily Rate

Only applicants that can work all days indicated for the position should apply. Staff will not receive sick days.

Age/Grade Level: K-12+

Location: Pioneer Education Center

Dates: Monday - Thursday; July 12, 2021 - July 30, 2021.

Plus, June 30th OR July 8th will be a mandatory professional development/set up day. Staff can choose which of the two to work.

Hours: 8:45am-2:15pm (These are consecutive work hours. They do not include a lunch break.)

Qualifications :
- Experience working with students with multiple disabilities.

- Opportunities on this posting are only available for current PPS employees.

- If you are on a leave of absence up to and including the last day of the current school year, you are not eligible to work in a summer program.

- Employees receiving an unsatisfactory rating during the preceding school year are not eligible for summer opportunities.

- All positions are based on enrollment and funding and are not guaranteed.
