  • POSITION TITLE: Anticipated Digital Coordinator
    REPORTS TO: Director of Technology
    SUPERVISES: Non-Supervisory
    COORDINATES WITH: Superintendent, Assistant Superintendents, Directors, Principals, Assistant Principals, Technology Integrators, and other staff
    WORK YEAR: 260 days

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
    The Technology Coordinator is to serve as the educational liaison between technology and curriculum.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or related experience in an educational setting. Active New Hampshire certification preferred. Certification in Technology Educator, Library Sciences, or Digital Media Specialist is desirable. Master's Degree preferred. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills. Demonstrates capabilities in planning, organization, human relations, and oral and written communications.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. Work with Assistant Superintendents to determine technology needs of current and evolving curriculum.
    2. Work the Data Analyst and Database Administrators to develop and promote assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of curricular instruction at district, building, and teacher levels.
    3. Establish staff development programs to promote utilization of technology as a tool in the delivery of instructional content in the classroom. Establish staff development programs to promote and improve technological proficiency for all district staff.
    4. Identify technology training needs of all district staff.
    5. Establish and deliver training programs to meet needs.
    6. Establish training strategies and ensure timely delivery of training for new staff (introduction to Nashua Technology, etc.).
    7. Serve as an ongoing resource for teachers through the development and delivery of workshops and ad-hoc one on one interaction.
    8. To help them in using current technology in their lessons to include both software and hardware.
    9. To help them envision new uses of technology to improve their instructional effectiveness.
    10. Follow ISTE best practices.
    11. Coordinate with directors, principals, and assistant superintendents to develop a comprehensive testing schedule.
    12. Working knowledge Aspen/X2.
    13. Assess technology needs that include software, applications, and extensions to establish a return on investment to develop a responsible annual budget.
    14. Develop and deliver instruction for Technology Instruction Assistants around digital citizenship, coding, digital media, and the responsible use of technology.
    15. Serve as focal person for district survey administered by curriculum and technology department.
    16. Serve as member of the Technology Committee.
    17. Serve as back-up trainer for the onboarding process.
    18. Identify and pursue grants that will facilitate technology acquisition and training/integration opportunities.
    19. Work with Director of Technology and external vendors to research and implement new technologies for instructional purposes throughout the District.
    20. Other duties as required, assigned by Director.

    ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES
    1. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but will include walking or standing for brief periods of time.
    2. Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
    3. Visiting schools when necessary.
    4. Occasionally reach above shoulders, kneel and bend.
    5. Mental demands requiring decision making, analytical and organizational skills in order to achieve work objectives, draw daily operational conclusions, solve practical problems, use computer technology and to present information for use by administration in making decisions.

    EXPECTATIONS

    Eager to progress the district in a direction that promotes technological best practices to promote education.
    Attend period training as required.
    Familiarizes oneself with ISTE standards.
