  • POSITION: ESY PRE-SCHOOL SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
    WORK YEAR: EXTENDED YEAR PROGRAM (SUMMER SCHOOL)
    STARTING: July 6, 2021 - August 8, 2021 Tuesday - Thursday (up to 5 hrs per day)
    SALARY: Hourly Rate (Per Collective Bargaining Agreement)
    QUALIFICATIONS: NH State Licensed Speech Language Pathologist, strong organizational and communication skills. Candidate with experience working with children with Autism preferred.

    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
    The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is an integral part of the school community. SLPs conduct assessments of students' communication skills to determine their eligibility for treatment, develop recommendations for interventions and provide services to carry out interventions so that students can meet educational performance standards. They work in partnership with others to meet student needs through consult with teachers, parents, or other professionals, share assessment results and develop plans for services through the IEP process. The SLP provides students with remediation for speech and language deficits, provides support to parents and teachers, determines the appropriate approach for student's speech and language services and screens students for further individualized assessment. Collaboration with peers is essential to enhance the instructional environment, meet individual, school and district wide student performance goals and demonstrate a gain in student performance. Professional obligations are met through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating services and professional development.
