Plans, manages, coordinates and supervises all aspects of risk management; administers all aspects of self-funded and commercial insurance except workers compensation; acts as the subject matter expert in regulation interpretation and compliance reviews; exercises leadership to assess risk of asset loss, liability claim exposure and contractual indemnity clauses; continually improves Division practices; and stays current with governance and regulatory developments.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree. Six years of progressively more responsible experience in enterprise risk management, insurance claims investigation, financial reporting and compliance, some of which is in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Advanced training in conflict resolution and/or mediation preferred. Certified Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP, or Associate in Risk Management (ARM). Associate in Enterprise Risk Management (ARM-E) and/or Certification in Government Finance preferred. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations governing risk management, governance, information security and compliance. Knowledge of self-insured, property, casualty, and general liability insurance policies. Knowledge of multi-departmental business and operational processes. Proficiency in the use of technology and data compilation, analysis, and reporting. Knowledge of quantitative analytical methodology, and experience using data to make decisions and determine action. Collaboration, negotiation, influencing and relationship management skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to add value to the risk management process through strategic thinking and in-depth analyses. Demonstrated integrity and sound judgment in performing duties with ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information. Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously, adjusting quickly to daily changes. Ability to effectively lead teams in multiple projects. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all parties within and outside of the Division.
