Description of Services:
Virtual ELA summer program teachers are responsible for providing opportunities for students in grades 6-8 to engage in enriching reading and writing learning experiences. Teachers will be compensated for summer planning hours.
The Virtual ELA Summer Program consists of one 4 week session (July 6th-July 30th). Sessions will be synchronous and asynchronous.
The ELA Program will operate 5 days per week, 3 hours each day from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM for virtual instruction and 1 hour of preparation time and 1 hour collaborative planning time.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience working with Middle School Students in ELA.
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university. Teaching experience in an urban setting, preferred.
Period of Contract July 1, 2021 through August 7, 2021
Amount of Contract: Not to exceed $3,000
Payment Terms: $35 per hour
