Description of Services:
The coordinator of the Summer ELA program is responsible for coordinating with the administrative assistant to facilitate the overall administration of the ELA program, including receiving applications, keeping track of registration, keeping track of attendance, student data and communicating with parents. The ELA Coordinator will supervise, inform, and support students participating in the program. They will work closely and collaboratively with summer program teachers. The coordinator will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that emphasizes ELA learning, personal growth and cultural diversity. The Coordinators will be compensated for summer planning hours.
The ELA virtual summer program consists of one 4 week session (July 6-July 30) Virtual classes run from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. (both synchronous and asynchronous). The Coordinator will be compensated for summer planning hours
Minimum Requirements:
Experience working with Middle School Students in ELA.
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university. Teaching experience in an urban setting, preferred.
Period of Contract July 1, 2021 through August 7, 2021
Amount of Contract: Not to exceed $3,000
Payment Terms: $36 per hour
