    The Advanced Learning Program is seeking energetic, positive and child-centered teachers to work in a
    diverse Elementary school in Greenwich CT. The ideal candidate understands the growth and
    development of children, is able to plan and deliver lessons accordingly, help students learn subject
    matter and skills that will broaden their learning experiences.

    Responsibilities
    • Prepare lesson plans that achieve clear objectives, uses appropriate techniques and serves the needs
    of all learners in the classroom
    • Demonstrate strong content knowledge
    • Maintain accurate and complete records
    • Assess student learning on a continual basis and identify areas of intervention if needed
    • Communicate student progress with parents through the use of interim reports, report cards, and/or
    conferences
    • Design instruction to meet the needs of all learners
    • Design and implement assessments that measure progress and use assessments to refine curriculum
    and instructional practices
    • Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages open communication between the teacher
    and learner
    • Establish and maintain professional relationships
    • Participate in professional learning

    Knowledge/Skills
    • Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
    • Effective, active listening skills
    • Ability to work effectively with others
    • Organizational and problem-solving skills

    Qualifications
    CT certification is required
    Knowledge of G/T Best Practices Preferred
    Experience with Assessment and Identification of Gifted or Potentially Gifted Students
