Job Description Summary:

Valley Christian Schools in the Phoenix, Arizona metro area is expanding their Technology Department and seeks to add a Technology Specialist 1. This is a full-time, year-round position reporting to the Director of Technology. Experience with a range of technologies, but specifically iPads in education is desired. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all support requests, escalating tickets based on workload and difficulty, and assist with the inventory, maintenance, and deployment of technology throughout the campuses.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to Valley Christian policies, procedures/processes, and codes
• Performs other related assigned duties
• Providing technical support to faculty, staff, students, and parents
• Assisting with the deployment, operation, and maintenance of technology on all campuses
• Creating support materials
• Maintaining inventory and storage areas

Education, Qualifications, and Experience:

• Must be a Christian with a consistent testimony among his/her family, peers, and students
• Must have and maintain a valid level one IVP fingerprint card
• Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
• Intermediate to advanced skill in the use Apple iPads
• Intermediate to advanced skill in the use of Microsoft Windows
• Intermediate to advanced skill in the use of Microsoft Office 365
• Basic knowledge of wired and wireless networking
• Teaching or classroom support experience preferred
• Knowledge of system imaging and deployment preferred
• Experience with RenWeb preferred
• Experience with Moodle preferred
• Experience with Zendesk preferred
• Experience with JAMF Pro preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings
• Must be able to work during prolonged periods of standing and sitting
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times

Compensation:

Salary range is $18.00 - 20.00 per hour and is commensurate with education and experience. Employee medical, dental and vision plans, 401K, and additional benefits are included with the position.
