Summary: The Talent Sourcing Specialist identifies, sources and attracts high performing talent using a variety of methods. As a partner within the recruiting team, the position will engage candidates in talent communities with consistent interactive activities and will connect their career goals with K12’s mission and vision.

  • Identifies community opportunities based on K12’s culture, network, and hiring needs to generate talent pipelines, engage with potential candidates, and evaluate network fit for positions;
  • Implements, and refines the sourcing plan to align best practices with emerging technologies and innovative strategies;
  • Collaborates with recruiters to strategize and implement innovative pipeline generation efforts;
  • Develops strong customer relationships by understanding the client’s business and unique culture;
  • Monitor activities that positions K12 as an employer of choice by developing rich relationships with top education and diversity colleges;
  • Collects data, identifying alternatives when circumstances change;
  • Engages K12 employees throughout the organization to participate in various online events that will educate and inform potential candidates on the advantages of K12;
  • Monitors changes in the education and economic industries to identify future recruitment opportunities;
  • Implements branding activities that will distinguish K12 as the leading authority in virtual education, innovative recruiting practices and career growth opportunities;
  • Documents deliverables through program metrics to accurately reflect the before and after results achieved.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum RequiredQualifications:
  • High School Diploma AND
  • Three (3) years of experience leveraging diverse social media channels to source and create strong brand messaging targeted to specific interest groups OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

  • Technically savvy with the ability to understand online communities
  • Impeccable follow through skills and the ability to deliver results
  • Strong analytic skills, with passion for research, data, and a creative approach to sourcing
  • Proven ability to take initiative, use consultative skills and build strong, productive relationships
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative and has the ability to effectively organize, multi-task, and prioritize a wide array of activities
  • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills
  • A passion and knack for designing and putting in place effective processes
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to be adaptable and consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced, changing work environment
  • Exceptional time management; proactive with a strong sense of urgency
  • A track record of demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity and personal accountability
  • MS 365; Web proficiency
  • Ability to clear required background check

Desired Qualifications:
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to effectively use data insights to drive decision making process
  • Experience with web analytics platforms and tools
  • Analytical thinking and hands-on approach to problem solving with an interest in working on problems that don't have an obvious solution
