ITS Department Coordinator

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Coordinates the day-to-day operations of the divisions of the Information Technology Services department. Performs basic troubleshooting and knowledge article-based problem resolution with end users. Prioritizes and disseminates all incoming end user communication to the relevant department divisions. Manages and performs delegation and escalation of work orders based on management determined prioritization. Monitoring work order trends to provide updates for department and District key performance indicators. Assists in the upkeep of District asset management and department on-hand stock inventory. Assist in the purchasing and interaction with District vendors.
MAJOR RESPONSIBLITIES: Delegates and coordinates the dispersal of work for the User Services division of the ITS department which manages the District's customer facing technicians who interacts with the students, parents, faculty, and staff. Acts as primary point of contact for incoming department communications, including answering the phone, voicemail, e-mail, instant messaging, social media and other designated communications platforms. Performs basic troubleshooting steps using provided knowledge systems, triages and escalates as needed. Evaluates issues and escalates work orders to appropriate parties based on departmental role delegation. Analyzes work order trends and makes recommendations to department management regarding the creation, optimization and delivery of workflows and department procedures. Dispatches department staff to remediate work orders based on directives of management. Coordination with management of department schedule for operations, projects, and deliverables. Assists with the coordination of vendor partners and deployments with District facilities and staff. Assists with accounting for department, school and District owned hardware, software and accessories stock and property lifecycle through the District asset management system. Collaborates with team members to achieve department and organizational goals. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Information Technology Services or designee
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in business environment, information technology preferred Bachelor's degree required, preferred in information technology, business management or communications Excellent troubleshooting techniques and consciousness of user needs relative to the District mission. Strong experience with Microsoft 365 Office products, and office productivity applications. Experience with Windows, Apple IOS/MacOS and Android platforms Strong communication and organizational skills with emphasis on detail follow-up with end users. Multi-lingual candidates with experience in Spanish, Portuguese and/or Haitian Creole are preferred. Familiarity with the account life cycle and Active Directory or other directory services. Experience with maintaining and scheduling meetings for departments, executives and staff. Experience with scheduling and rotating staff members for service calls or site coverage
