Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is seeking a chief executive officer and superintendent for the nation’s third largest school system, and a district on the rise. CPS’ equity-based vision is to provide a high-quality public education for every child, in every neighborhood, that prepares each for success in college, career and civic life. The seven-member Board of Education and Mayor of the City of Chicago are looking for a dynamic, engaging, and transformative leader to help make the district’s vision a reality for students and families across Chicago. 

CPS serves 341,000 students across 638 district-run, charter, contract and options schools. CPS is also one of Illinois' largest employers, with nearly 40,000 full-time and 8,000 part-time employees. A successful candidate will be offered a multi-year contract with nationally competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience, with start date subject to negotiation.
