Valid New York State Certified Certificate, Teaching experience within the Alden Central School District is preferred;
Implements programs of the Teacher Center as directed by Policy Board;
Responsible for staff selection with Board approval;

Coordinates program with Teacher Center staff; manages the human and material resources;
Responsible for the preparation and supervision of the budget;
Responsible for the total evaluation of staff performance, program implementation and fiscal efficiency;
Responsible for adhering to the State guidelines governing Teacher Centers;
Reports periodically to all responsible agencies;
Provides for public relations with school and community;
Provides a monthly newsletter of Teacher Center activities;
Provides for communication with the Local Education Association;
Attends all scheduled meetings of the Policy Board unless otherwise specified;
Knowledgeable about Teacher Centers, Inservice Education and teacher training;
Coordinates workshop scheduling, maintaining budgetary records, filing records and information for year-end report;
Prepares mini grants, self-studies, coordinates workshop catalogs, index and files correspondence, maintains accurate inventory of resources for loan and facilitates delivery, supports teacher center services (ex: lamination), gives routine information to public, develops, types, coordinates workshop catalogs;
Teaches Teacher Center Courses as significant component of the role.
Attends all FarWest meetings and New Teacher Center Director Trainings;
Works in the summer to update and finalize all teacher records to be copied and reported to the District office;Writes all required New York State and District reports including Annual Grant, Mid-Year and End of Year Reports, Financial Records (FS10, Budget narrative, FS10A, etc...) Self Study Reports, and other requirements as assigned;
Coordinates all information for Policy Board meetings;
Works with mentoring committee to coordinate New Teachers workshops;
Plans full day meeting of the Policy Board as needed

Building/Location : District-Wide

Additional Job Information : $30.00 per hour; 7.5 hours per week (1 day)

up to 360 hours per year
