Full-Time School Counselor for 2021-2022
Farmington High School is seeking a talented and energetic school counselor to become part of a n active department . The counselor would maintain a full caseload of students in grades 9-12 at Farmington High, work collaboratively with a team, and deliver a 9-12 school counseling curriculum.
Requirements for t he successful candidate:
-certified as a CT School Counselor (068)
-demonstrated flexibility, organization, leadership and communication skills
-team-oriented; willing to work closely with the School Counseling Department
-collaborative in working with various stakeholder groups
-able to build positive relationships with students, parents and school community
-willing to meet annually with each student/parent on caseload for an individual planning meeting
-willing to work with and plan for struggling students to meet with academic success
-skilled in providing individual and group counseling, including crisis intervention, to remove barriers to academic success
-knowledgeable in the college application and college testing processes
-experience with AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) appreciated
-responsibilities/skills as determined by superintendent or designee
Salary: $49,020-$104,599 depending upon education and experience
