GENERAL PURPOSE

This position is responsible for directing the ongoing analysis of district performance and related data points; collecting, analyzing and presenting data; providing information and serving as a resource to others; and achieving defined objectives in compliance with established guidelines. Serves as a member of the leadership team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Administers a districtwide assessment protocol complying with established regulations and ensuring consistent administration of assessments.

Analyzes student achievement and related data identifying relevant issues and recommending or implementing a plan of action that will efficiently address needs.

Collaborates with Information Technology on the collection, monitoring and updating of student and personnel data ensuring effective and efficient use of resources, addressing organizational needs, and ensuring the availability of information needed to meet reporting requirements.

Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders meeting state and federal reporting deadlines, conveying information, supporting continuous quality improvement processes District-wide.

Compiles data from a variety of internal and external sources analyzing issues, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and/or monitoring program components.

Conducts audits of reportable data and monitors state level reports ensuring accuracy and data integrity and complying with state and federal reporting requirements.

Develops and implements best practices and procedures for collecting, entering and analyzing required data addressing organizational needs and ensuring the availability of information needed to meet reporting requirements.

Develops and manages budgets, expenditures and related financial activities ensuring accurate allocations, revenues recorded, expenses are within budget limits and/or adherence to fiscal practices.

Organizes and conducts trainings, meetings, workshops, etc. providing training, identifying issues, supporting processes and initiatives, and conveying information and/or recommendations regarding District data management and analysis.

Oversees staff achieving outcomes in relation to organizational objectives, and ensuring compliance to legal requirements.

Participates in meetings conveying and gathering information regarding a wide variety of subjects addressing educational reform, school improvement and instructional issues.

Performs personnel functions maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel and achieving objectives within budget.

Prepares a wide variety of materials documenting activities, providing reference, and/or conveying information.

Provides technical assistance to District leadership assisting in the development, implementation, analysis and use of data.

Recommends solutions to a wide variety of complex issues improving District and school programs.

Researches a wide variety of topics related to District, school, and program improvement ensuring compliance with established requirements, securing general information for planning, taking action, and/or responding to requests.

Responds to issues and inquiries from school District administrators, parents, and educators regarding educational reform, school improvement efforts and CORE data identifying the relevant issues and recommending or implementing a plan of action that will efficiently resolve the issue.

Supports the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Education developing, implementing, and refining services and programs and achieving operational goals.

Performs other related duties as required/assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

Master's Degree in a job-related area from an accredited college or university, required.

Minimum of five (5) years of job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.

Certificates, Licenses and Other Special Requirements

Missouri School Administrator Certificate preferred but not required.

Must pass a Criminal Background Clearance the results of which must be satisfactory to the District, required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of algebra and/or geometry.

Knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include pertinent laws, codes, policies, and/or regulations; local, state, federal accountability requirements; personnel processes; curriculum adoption process; program planning and development; concepts of grammar and punctuation; principles of continuous improvement; adult learning styles; and data analysis methodology.

Skill to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.

Skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job, including: operating standard office equipment including using a variety of software applications; planning and managing projects; research and statistical methodology; utilizing data systems to proactively predict results; preparing and maintaining accurate records.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work environment is primarily inside, where the noise and temperature levels are moderate.

The work is sedentary work that requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.

Must possess the physical ability to perceive the nature of sounds, make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes, express or exchange ideas by the spoken word, substantial movements (motions) with the hands, wrists, and/or fingers, and discern letters or numbers at a given distance.

Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, manual dexterity, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and walking.
