Job Description
AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM QUALITY FACILITATOR
Ideal candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree with current Vermont Teacher Certification and experience working with children in a public school or child care setting. All candidates must meet CDD, VAE and local qualifications.
Overview of responsibilities:
The Quality Facilitator will help strengthen continuous quality improvement across our programs to maximize student engagement and outcomes. The Facilitator will define, carefully assess and intentionally support and promote quality systemically in our programs, and help demonstrate the outcomes and achievements.
The position supports and promotes integration of academic, SEL, and enrichment programming for the Tapestry Programs with linkages to the school goals and objectives throughout the year, and fosters development of transferable life and practical skills. The Facilitator works with program leadership and staff at each site to incorporate best practices, play, inquiry and exploration in planning and implementation of activities. The Facilitator will relate the objectives of the activities with child outcomes, program assessment systems, training and professional development, and use data to inform ongoing quality improvement in the delivery of services.
In support of this work, it is essential to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including school district policies and procedures, and Vermont Childcare Licensing Regulations are essential.
This is a full-year position. Hours will be varied between 8:00 am until 6:30 pm using an 8-hour day for 225 days a year.
