JOB GOAL
To assist HPS staff in their day- to- day desktop/network technology support needs and its applications within their assigned campus setting. Sets up, coordinates and monitors the operation of electronic computer equipment. Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School diploma or GED
• Associate or Bachelor' s Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university ( preferred)
• Minimum two years of experience in a related field (preferred)
• Experience in A zure AD/Office 365 user support/management (preferred)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Understands and supports the mission, vision and values of Harmony Public Schools.
• Provides customer service and/or technical support for computers, technology devices, applications and networked- based problems
• Provides on- site and remote assistance to staff in their day- to- day desktop/network needs
• Monitors , assigns, and work s on support tickets at the HPS H elpDesk ticketing system.
• Pr ovides computer equipment setup , schedules maintenance and trains staff on how to use equipment/programs.
• Deploys computers, installs associated software applications, configures hardware, peripherals, and settings to company configuration standards.
• Assists with repair and recovery from hardware/software failures.
• Communicates with technical fluency network and system failures. Assists with overall site support, when needed, to handle administrative support.
• Diagnoses computer problems, monitors computer processing systems, installs and maintains standard software, and performs tests on computer equipment/ programs.
• Troubleshoot s hardware and software issues , identif ies computer malfunctions and ensures functionality.
• Makes te chnical arrangements for events and board meetings
• Assists in planning, coordinating and implementing instructional technology applications consistent with established project objectives and activities.
• Attends meetings/workshops/conferences to stay current and share/collect best practices.
• Coordinates IT related issues with HPS Central Office IT Department and HPS districts/ campuses
• Follows and implements rel evant HPS IT polic ies and procedures.
• Coordinat es efforts to assist schools in the identification, selection, acquisition, use and evaluation of computer hardware and appropriate software
• Ensures security and privacy of networks and computer systems
• Establish es and maintain s technology resou rces appropriate for meeting rooms use.
• Maintains and resolves issues with copy machines and printers
• As needed, works , monitors, troubleshoots hardware and software, and coordinates maintenance jobs for network infrastructure, phone system, servers, wi- fi system, video surveillance and all other IT- related systems.
• P erforms routine maintenance and troubleshoots problem terminals and printers within the department.
• Monitors and maintains local networks in ways that optimize performance
• Maintains technology inventory software and paperwork records.
• Plans , coordinates, and implements network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Provides ongoing or on-demand tr aining to Central Office staff in the use of instructional technology.
• Works with contractors for maintenance
• A ttends board meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.
• Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
• Position is in office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
• Moderate travel is required.
