    Qualifications
    1. Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a major in human resources management, business administration, or industrial relations. Master's degree in education administration and related experience in the areas of employee relations or compliance, preferred.
    2. Significant experience in an administrative role or in human resources management in a progressive organization or urban school district, preferred.
    3. Demonstrated leadership experience as a school or business leader.
    4. Excellent communication and organizational skills, including proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software, including, but not limited to, word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), and database creation and management (Access). Proficiency with collaboration software, such as Office 365, is a plus.
    5. Demonstrated record of progressive and impactful work performance and accomplishments.
    6. Acceptable work record and criminal and child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 114, and 151).
    7. Valid drivers' license.
    8. Ability to work independently to interact with people and to provide reports in a timely manner.

    Summary
    Assists the Deputy Superintendent of Equity, Accountability and School Improvement, Human Resources leadership with ensuring compliance with the District's Non-Discrimination policies, including, but not limited to, adherence to Title VI and Title IX requirements. Educational institutions that receive Federal financial assistance are prohibited under Title IX from subjecting any person to discrimination on the basis of sex. The District Equity Coordinator, or Title IX Coordinator, is responsible for ensuring the Allentown School District's compliance with Title IX obligations, including, but not limited to, conducting investigations of reported staff-related sex-based infractions, such as sexual harassment; serving as internal Title IX advisor to school-based equity coordinators (SECs) and their designees; collaborating with local, state, and federal authorities to ensure compliance with requirements for monitoring and reporting Title IX incidents; and reviewing data to identify and respond to trends from sexual harassment database. Interacts and collaborates with school-based equity coordinators (SECs) or their designees to ensure the effective administration of District policies, goals, and objectives in support of the mission, vision, and strategy established by the Superintendent and School Board.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. Visit student homes to verify residency and to deliver educational paperwork.
    2. Inform parents of school programs and regulations.
    3. Encourage parents to come to school for conferences with school personnel.
    4. Help parents to participate in and support school activities.
    5. Accompany a professional staff member, when necessary, to assist parents in filling out forms such as applications, social or medical history forms, and legal documents.
    6. Maintain frequent contact with Home School Visitor, including, but not limited to, identifying and reporting community and neighborhood conditions, and students' family needs and situations which may require additional services.
    7. Maintain appropriate records.
    8. Consult with principals or other school personnel upon request.
    9. Counsel students directly upon request of counselor or principal.
    10. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
