Job Summary

Oversees the management and support of DCPS Technology Services educational technology initiatives. Provides an informed interface between Technology Services and other DCPS departments on emerging technologies and educational technology initiatives.

Essential Functions

1. Leads, directs, and manages the Technology Innovation Team. Plans, monitors, appraises, and reviews staff job contributions.

2. Oversees the implementation and support of educational technology programs for district staff including Microsoft Office 365 and partner single-sign-on Apps, as well as classroom equipment.

3. Establishes and maintains a current repository of digital resources to support district staff in the implementation of educational technology initiatives.

4. Plans, provides, and monitors professional learning opportunities for District Staff in support of district educational technology initiatives.

5. Serves as primary liaison with DCPS Academic Services regarding educational technology related issues.

6. Maintains the District Technology Plan and coordinates annual updates to the plan.

7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent supervisory and/or management work experience.

Experience: Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in team and personnel management and management of projects, efforts, and initiatives in a technical environment.

Certifications & Licenses: Relevant project management certification preferred.
