  • The Development Director's responsibilities include managing the Development team, Endowment Campaign (in partnership with the President), our Parent Pledge Program, the Parent Partnership Council (PPC), grant writing, and creating a robust Major Gifts program. In addition, in partnership with the Events Manager, the Development Director will also support in executing our Fall Kick-Off, Golf Outing and NazBash.

    Position Status - Full-time 12 Month; 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

    Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Manage team and ensure day-to-day tasks match our overall short-term and long-term strategies

    • Manage, in partnership with President, Endowment Campaign and in subsequent years manage a donor stewardship plan for all campaign investors

    • Overall Major Gift program - focus on cultivating current parents and sustaining their support once they become alumni parents, as well as coordinating Thank-a-Donor Day and Donor Cocktail Party

    • Manage the Parent Partnership Council: acting as a liaison between the PPC and the Development team, schedule and manage all PPC meetings and agendas

    • In partnership with Events Manager, support in executing Fall Kick-Off, Golf Outing and NazBash and provide needed support in planning other events as needed.

    • Parent Pledge Program: Manage and coordinate all new parent meetings, as well as Parent Pledge reminders and updates quarterly

    • Grant writing

    • Bequests and strategic planning around Planned Giving


    Qualifications:
    • Must have a passion for the mission of Nazareth Academy

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Experience in executing a variety of fundraising strategies (appeals, major gifts, events, etc)

    • Experience in managing a capital/endowment campaign a plus, but not required

    • Possess the skills to work with and motivate staff, along with committee members and other volunteers, to help support fundraising efforts

    • Must be organized and able to manage multiple priorities at once

    • Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense and good listening ability.

    • Bachelor's degree required

    • 6-8 years minimum experience in professional fundraising
