SUMMARY: The School Based Enrollment Specialist supports the activities related to student enrollment, record and system management. This position acts as the school’s advocate or representative.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
  • Supports student enrollment and re-enrollment process with a focus on documentation collection
  • Serves as point of contact on enrollment issues for students, prospective students, parents, administrative personnel, and reporting agencies
  • Ensures state compliancy guidelines are met for all incoming enrollment documents
  • Manage, develop, and ensure implementation of enrollment process
  • Assists with state compliance requirements/reports
  • Coordinate efforts to ensure list required documents for initial approval and reregistration is accurate and appropriate
  • Coordinate efforts between school and Enrollment Center to review/implement processes for document approval pathway
  • Manage school level process for approvals related to school/local requirements
  • Manage and coordinate assigned school retention efforts
  • Assists administration with various projects
  • Manages program following up on drop out students or those not claimed in state system.
  • Other duties may be assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be able to commute to our Lansing office on a daily basis and work in an office environment
  • Associate degree (AA) preferred AND
    • attach proof of your AA degree to your K12 profile docs.
  • Two (2) years related experience and/or training OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficientin Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Google Docs, Forms, Sheet, Talk
  • Strong technology skills including database and spreadsheet skills
  • Ability to create database as well as import/export data
  • Experienced using search engines (internet) for research
  • Experienced using a student information system and/or other type of database
  • Ability to clear required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • This is an office-based position. The noise level in the office is usually moderate (computers, printers, light foot traffic).
  • Commute to Lansing, MI on a daily basis.
