We are accepting applications for a World Cultures and Language Teacher at our elementary campus.

New employees are expected to attend the week of staff professional development beginning August 16, 2021. First day of school for students is August 23, 2021.


As part of the specials rotation for Kindergarten through 5 th grade, this teacher will see all classes in K-5 on a rotating basis. Each year, the students will do a deep dive on 3 places in the world by exploring its history, environment, culture, and language. Students will learn the basic components of the language including how to write the characters, common phrases and high frequency words, and practice speaking and listening to it. Students will also learn about the culture in each location and how the history and environment that exists there has influenced it. Locations explored will be from all different continents around the globe and include native cultures as well as modernized ones. Guest speakers, virtual field trips, and pen pals will be frequent components of the class to give students direct exposure to the people of each location.

Position Requirements:
  • Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification in Spanish K-12 or to teach in grades K-5 (Elementary K-6, Grades PK-4 with Grades 5-6 add-on, Grades 4-8 with PK-4 add-on)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Understanding and commitment to inclusive learning
  • Strong researching, planning, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with MS Office


Applicants who do not yet have their PA teaching certificate may upload the official College Verification of Eligibility Letter, which states you have successfully completed the program and are eligible for certification in lieu of the PA teaching certification document.
