Description

  1. Leads the development of the overall approach for the program, its major time frames and the definition of its major deliverables to address and meet the desired goals and outcomes
  2. Partners with executive sponsors to communicate program goals, objectives and potential outcomes
  3. Leads regular interactions with the executive sponsors to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuing good relationship and shared vision for the program outcome
  4. Establishes and ensures appropriate governance functions for the program in accordance with enterprise policies, practices and on behalf of the executive sponsor or senior responsible owner
  5. Creates required program documentation and artifacts
  6. Develops and controls the program budget, and manages expenditure within agreed spending plans
  7. Leads reviews with the executive sponsors and stakeholders to identify specific program risks, needs and changes, and directs the development of appropriate plans to address
  8. Leads the development and maintenance of stakeholder mapping, communications and reporting
  9. Acts as an advisor, and builds and maintains relationships across the wider stakeholder community
  10. Leads the oversight of program projects’ execution, with progress compared with plans and the production of agreed deliverables
  11. Monitors and coordinates dependencies across the projects in the program, and resolves conflicts
  12. Directs or approves the establishment of a framework or guidelines for the use of contractors and professional service providers, and determines their use across the program
  13. Supports and facilitates agenda setting for program committee meetings
  14. Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, communications, or related field is required
  • Master's degree in engineering, business, or public administration or related field is preferred
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred
  • Seven or more years of experience in IT business/industry
  • Five years in diverse roles with increasing leadership responsibilities across major projects and programs
  • Experience in K-12 educational environment is preferred
  • Consulting experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing "upward" among senior leadership Knowledgeable of organizational change management practices and methodologies
  • Expert oral and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams
