Description
Qualifications
- Train and assist internal staff engineers in wireless technologies.
- Supervise all hardware installation and ensure appropriate integration of various network components.
- Determine client requirement and execute all wireless projects for clients.
- Monitor efficient work of sub-contractors for various projects.
- Performe audits in wireless site and ensure viability with network and recommend solutions for incompatibility.
- Responsible for managing and configuring Wireless Controllers or Cloud Application Controllers.
- Coordinate troubleshooting efforts with vendor support engineers and network operations team
- Provide ongoing training to network operations staff through documentation, training sessions and one on one consultation.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a related field
- 10 years plus of industry experience, 8+ deploying Wireless LAN Products
- Must be proficient with integration with AD and Campus RADIUS for multiple user database authentication and understanding of PKI for 802.1X authentication
- Must possess strong WLAN Troubleshooting Skills
- Must be proficient in the use of tools such as wireless packet captures, Ekahau Sidekick Wireless Network analyzer to aid in troubleshooting process and problem resolution efforts.
- Must be proficient in Network Routing/Switching skills, especially as it relates to wireless design and troubleshooting
- Must be proficient in configuring and managing network switches.
- Must demonstrate a complete understanding of Layer 2 & Layer 3 concepts
- Must be proficient in routing Protocols including multicast routing
- Must be proficient in network security, especially as it relates to wireless devices
- Proficient in configuring industry NAC applications would be a plus.
- Must be proficient in configuring and managing Wireless Access Points.
- Must be proficient with other wireless network components such as Cisco, Aruba, ClearPass, Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA, etc.
- Must be proficient in performing Radio Frequency (RF)Surveys.
- Proficient in WLAN Design.
