Physical/Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists

**POSTIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE CONTINGENT ON ENROLLMENT**

LOCATION: Meadow Ridge Elementary and Kent Meridian will house the main program and services.
Individual student services and locations will be determined by student need.

TIME COMMITMENT:
3 hours - Date TBD meeting of certificated staff to review specific student needs with referring teacher, therapists, and/or nurse.
6 hours - pre-ESY classroom preparation activity on Date (TBD)
Hours of work during during the ESY school session - will be determined by student need
3 hours - post-ESY record keeping and classroom closure activity on Date (TBD)

ESY SCHEDULE : Programs will operate within the following time frame:
Certificated classroom staff start and end times during ESY session: 8:30 AM -12:30 PM
Student Schedule: Mon-Thurs from 9:00 AM -12:00 noon from July 6-August 5, 2021.
Paraprofessional start end times during ESY session: 8:45AM-12:15 PM

The frequency of a student's ESY service schedule may vary and some students may require ESY services outside of this window of time so there may be other and/or additional hours available. Please note on application if you are interested in this potential other and/or additional work

RESPONSIBILITIES: Delivering specially designed instruction, collecting data on identified goals and objectives, reporting student attendance, communicating with parents, and collaborating with teachers.
Opening and closing responsibilities will include planning therapy activities for individual and/or groups, preparing final progress reports for each student, completion of a staff feedback survey and assisting with packing ESY materials to return to referring school team and/or District warehouse.

QUALIFICATIONS :
  1. Must be a current permanent KSD certificated employee on a continuing, provisional or leave replacement contract.
  2. Outside agency/contract personnel will be hired based on need.
  3. Physical/occupational therapists and Speech/Language Pathologists must have a valid Washington State ESA certificate and appropriate licensing.
  4. Essential abilities or characteristics:
    1. Enthusiasm and passion for engaging with students.
    2. Demonstrated ability to implement IEP goals and objectives for a wide range of students, providing differentiated instructional programs for students designed to meet their individual needs.
    3. Availability to participate fully in all pre- & post-ESY activities scheduled (see commitment above).
    4. Demonstrated ability to be flexible, deal creatively and positively with challenges, and to be a team player.
    5. Demonstrated ability to be highly organized.
    6. CPI training preferred.
  5. Previous ESY experience is not required.
