Dean of Students
QUALIFICATIONS:
REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB GOAL: The Dean of Students is responsible for all aspects of management of the School as assigned, and for any general school assignments as delegated by the Building Principal. Work with all staff to ensure students are provided high quality educational experiences.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and calendar year to be established by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
Dean of Students
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MA Required
- Iowa Administrative Certification and evaluator approval
- Teaching experience at high school level preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with adults.

JOB GOAL: The Dean of Students is responsible for all aspects of management of the School as assigned, and for any general school assignments as delegated by the Building Principal. Work with all staff to ensure students are provided high quality educational experiences.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor student attendance and coordinate efforts to improve student attendance
- Maintain a positive safe learning environment for students by reinforcing the school behavioral expectations
- Provide supervision before/after school and during lunch shifts
- Coordinate scheduling for building supervisory staff
- Help coordinate our building Student Advisory Center
- Serve as liaison with district transportation staff and respond to concerns about student bus behavior
- Coordinate and participate in parent meetings
- Maintain records and complete building and district reports
- Participate in weekly Student Support Team meetings
- Other duties as assigned
