- Supervising and evaluating staff
- Overseeing and approving curriculum planning
- Supervising youth safety and assisting with behavior management
- Planning field trips and coordinating bus transportation
- Obtaining supplies, through cost and time effective methods
- Tracking and administering participant medications
- Assisting with and supporting inclusion of participants with disabilities
- Ensuring safe and welcoming environment for all campers
- Communicating with parents
- Maintaining camp budget and participant records
- Engaging in all camp activities
- Participating in weekly meetings with Youth Arts Specialist and Field Supervisor
- Completing other administrative camp duties
Work Location: MSCR
Hours of work: Between 7am-5pm
FTE/Hours Per Week:
40 hours per week
Salary:
$14/hour
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills to manage program logistics required.
- Must have proven dependability, teamwork, leadership skills, flexibility and enthusiasm
- Readiness to actively participate in all aspects of program.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have 2+ years of experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds in an education or day camp setting.
- Previous experience supervising staff required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bilingual Spanish a plus.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR and First Aid certification desired.
- Lifeguard certification a plus
Other Information:
- Must be creative & enthusiastic.
- Must be able to provide own lunch
- Must possess and wear appropriate swimming attire for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and occasional Fridays.
- MUST BE AVAILABLE ALL PROGRAM DATES and TIMES.
- Must be available for mandatory training June 14th-18th. Camp begins June 21, additional training will be scheduled in late May and early June.
