  • Supervising and evaluating staff
  • Overseeing and approving curriculum planning
  • Supervising youth safety and assisting with behavior management
  • Planning field trips and coordinating bus transportation
  • Obtaining supplies, through cost and time effective methods
  • Tracking and administering participant medications
  • Assisting with and supporting inclusion of participants with disabilities
  • Ensuring safe and welcoming environment for all campers
  • Communicating with parents
  • Maintaining camp budget and participant records
  • Engaging in all camp activities
  • Participating in weekly meetings with Youth Arts Specialist and Field Supervisor
  • Completing other administrative camp duties


Work Location: MSCR

Hours of work: Between 7am-5pm

FTE/Hours Per Week:
40 hours per week

Salary:

$14/hour

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage program logistics required.
  • Must have proven dependability, teamwork, leadership skills, flexibility and enthusiasm
  • Readiness to actively participate in all aspects of program.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have 2+ years of experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds in an education or day camp setting.
  • Previous experience supervising staff required.


Desired Qualifications:
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR and First Aid certification desired.
  • Lifeguard certification a plus


Other Information:
  • Must be creative & enthusiastic.
  • Must be able to provide own lunch
  • Must possess and wear appropriate swimming attire for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and occasional Fridays.
  • MUST BE AVAILABLE ALL PROGRAM DATES and TIMES.
  • Must be available for mandatory training June 14th-18th. Camp begins June 21, additional training will be scheduled in late May and early June.
