- Responsible for assisting in the overall supervision and management of the YRC summer school.
- Duties will include assisting the Site Director in staff supervision, evaluation of staff, enforcing YRC rules and policies, communicating with parents, creating a positive and safe environment for students, and emergency management.
- Additionally the Assistant Director is responsible for shopping within a budget for camp supplies and daily implementation of camp activities.
- Applicants must also adhere to Covid-19 best practices prevention policies as decided by MSCR and MMSD.

Hours of work: 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
FTE/Hours Per Week:
35 hours per week
Salary:
$13/ Hour
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to lead middle school aged youth from diverse backgrounds in a variety of engaging activities.
- Previous experience in supervising, training, and managing staff and program management in a recreational setting.
- Positive attitude, creative thinking, and organization
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to interact and communicate with youth in a positive and professional manner, as well as safely supervise middle school students in a recreational setting.
- High School graduate, interest in working with middle school youth and positive attitude. Previous experience, being part of a work team.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish or Hmong is a plus.
- Desire to lead, share knowledge and direct less experienced program staff.
- Previous experience in supervising others in a work environment.
