St. Rita of Cascia High School is currently seeking a full-time Band Director and Music Teacher.

St. Rita High School has a long and distinguished history of educating young men on the south side of Chicago. It is operated by the Province of Our Mother of Good Counsel, a Catholic jurisdiction of the Order of Saint Augustine. The Augustinian core values of Truth, Unity and Love drive everything done on the St. Rita campus.

The Band Director and Music Teacher position includes the following:

• Directing and managing the Symphonic, Marching and Jazz Band programs
• Teaching all courses related to instrumental music
• Providing students with the opportunity to participate in band activities and competitions
• Planning activities to achieve school, regional, and state recognition
• Coordinating recruitment efforts for the sustained growth of the Band programs

Applicant Qualifications:

• BA degree; MA preferred
• Valid Professional Educator License
• High School teaching experience preferred
