ELA Curriculum %26 Instruction Specialist - Louisiana

Join National Heritage Academies (NHA) as an ELA Curriculum Specialist in Louisiana! The ELA Curriculum Specialist will report to the Manager of ELA and will be responsible for supporting our Louisiana-based schools in professional development, coaching, and content expertise related to ELA curriculum and instruction. Qualified candidates must live in Louisiana and have a demonstrated knowledge of Louisiana ELA curriculum.

Your Role

  • Write and facilitate professional development around ELA curriculum and instruction.
  • Support in providing vision and direction for ELA curriculum and instruction for all NHA schools.
  • Model effective literacy and intervention instruction.
  • Write and execute lesson plans, assessments, or other instructional routines/frameworks.
  • Work to enhance teacher quality through direct coaching at schools around effective instruction, data analysis, and assessment administration.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education is required, Master's Degree in preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience preferred.
  • Experience writing and presenting professional development.
  • Experience coaching teachers and/or instructional leaders.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience completing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to use technology for collaboration.
  • Ability to travel as required (approximately 1-2 overnights per month).
