Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Home School Coordinator to join our dynamic team at the Proctor Elementary School (PES) Tapestry academic and enrichment program. Supportive training to transition into the role will be provided. We are seeking someone with a passion for helping children succeed, complemented by the knowledge, skills and experience to support children and families and to work with staff to promote best practices for environment and interactions supportive of social and emotional growth and development.

Ideal applicants will have a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health or Education with a number of years of experience in working with children and families that meets CDD/VAE/School standard, including experience working with families for enrollment, financial assistance and/or community service referrals.

Responsibilities include:

•Work with the team at the site to develop and maintain a high-quality program where children are safe and engaged in learning and exploration. Support of the daily operation of afterschool and summer programs by promoting supportive learning environments, coaching staff, being flexible and adaptable, and utilizing excellent organizational and communication skills.
•Communicate and meet with the PES's counseling staff to identify families who would benefit from services in the afterschool hours and facilitate referrals for services in the community.
•Assist families with the application process for Financial Assistance and for Child Care Subsidy, to secure funding.
•Participate in annual program assessments and planning.

Anticipated Schedule: 2.5-3 hours per day; 2-5 days per week. The afterschool program follows the school calendar. The Tapestry Program also runs summer programming for 6-7 weeks.

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
