Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) - DLI/ELL
Purpose: The DLI/ELL TOSA will partner with the ELL and Equity Coordinator to support language specialists and teachers in the ongoing growth and support of our K-12 ELL students and our K-12 DLI program. Areas of focus for the TOSA will be staff development and on-going support to best practices in the DLI and ELL program.

FTE: 1.0 (Full-Time)
FLSA Status: Licensed - Professional
Contract Status: Regular/Probationary
Start Date: 2021-22 School Year
Calendar: 191 Work Days
Salary: $41,624 - $84,337 with benefits (Note: this is the 2020-21 salary schedule, 2021-22 is TBD)
Retirement Contribution: Corvallis School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. Upon eligibility, the district contributes 6% of an employee's salary to their Individual Account Program (IAP). Eligibility is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
Notes: Requires an ESOL endorsement and experience teaching in a DLI program; bilingual preferred. Open until filled with earliest review of applications on April 30, 2021.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid Oregon teacher's license.Understanding of human growth and development patterns, learning theory and brain research.Demonstrated competence in area(s) of special assignment.Five or more years teaching experience in the area of special assignment.Familiarity with a wide variety of curriculum structures and instruction and assessment strategies that reflect current research on best practices.Familiarity with state standards and curriculum frameworks.
