Summer Intervention Teacher : 6-8, (Location West Oakland Middle School)

Program Dates 6/7 - 7/2/2021 Teacher Work Day, 6/4 Program Hours 8:15-1:15All staff for Summer Learning Programs will report in person to a specific campus location. This is a voluntary summer position.Programs will be held on campus and follow COVID-19 safety rules. Summer programs will implement COVID Safety plans as per the Alameda County Public Health. For more information on COVID Safety protocols see the District's Reopening Plan (https://www.ousd.org/domain/6101) Please note: This posting is only for one Program- Serving WOMS and Claremont Teachers whose assignments are within this Program will receive priority consideration for this position. RESPONSIBILITIES Create a positive, achievement-oriented, and structured in person or online learning environment that motivates and supports students, using virtual platforms as needed(i.e. Google Classrooms, Zoom etc). Execute daily instruction responsibilities, which include uploading videos, creating and sharing daily activities, and connecting students with resources. Provide feedback to students and regularly share their progress toward their goals. Follow and use grade and subject matter appropriate curriculum Use culturally relevant pedagogy QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSAny combination of education, training and/or experience equivalent to - Valid California Credential authorizing service in applied position Training and experience in the specific programs are required Must be proficient in standards-based instruction and assessment Demonstrate ability to motivate at-risk youth Per OEA contract Article 23.3.3.3, unit members will not be selected for more than two consecutive years. Should no qualified applicants apply, unit members may serve for more than two consecutive years.OEA Contract: 23.3.3.5 Employment shall be contingent upon enrollment
