Little Scouts Teachers are expected to have:
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication SkillsStrong interpersonal skills and a positive problem solving attitudeA comfortable and pleasant demeanor in busy environments
- Work under pressureWork harmoniously, cooperatively, and effectively with all stakeholdersFollow directivesPrioritize responsibilitiesMeet deadlinesComplete 15 hours of continuing education annually and track hours through the required professional development programMaintain confidentialityAdhere to the Board of Education policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- 19 years of age or older with an associate degree in Early Childhood Education or 60 semester hours with a focus in Early Childhood Education.Current Infant/Child CPR Certification.Current SIDS Certification.Current Shaken Baby Syndrome Certification.Experience with young children in an educational setting preferred.
