The school social worker helps students cope with personal and psychological issues that affect their school performance, behavior, and socialization through one-on-one or group sessions. Additionally, the social worker will directly work with families to help them navigate gaining access to support services outside the school. The school social worker will collaborate closely with administration, school counselors, teachers, and families to identify best supports for students facing personal and psychological issues.

This position is part-time (24 hours per week) and the individual will split time between the elementary (grades K-6) and IB (grades 7-12) campuses.

Position Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work or related field
• Previous experience working in a school setting
• Experience in giving therapeutic services that support students over long periods of time in dealing with psychological issues and trauma
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with all students, staff, and parents.
