Pittsburgh Public Schools employs over 4,000 individuals in various capacities to support the academic achievement and strength of character of the students we serve.

Under the supervision of the Director, Performance Management, the Project Manager supports district supervisors and staff in the navigation of the growth and evaluation systems in order to improve their practice for the purpose of reaching student achievement goals. This position is responsible for managing and ensuring fidelity of implementation of the overall Pittsburgh Public Schools' evaluation frameworks, including their individual components.

The Project Manager works closely with other district teams including Curriculum & Instruction team, the Office of School Performance, and the Office of Professional Development

In addition, we are seeking candidates with:
- Bachelors degree or 5-8 years of related experience required
- Degree in Human Resources, education, management, or business preferred
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
- Experience in implementing or supporting performance management or employee growth systems.
- Working knowledge of school systems, human resource practices, federal and state employment laws, and knowledge around Pennsylvania Department of Education evaluation requirements.
- Demonstrated project management skills, high attention to detail, organized and able to manage frequent and changing deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for data.
- Ability to cultivate relationships, work independently and collaboratively as a team player, under pressure with multiple competing deadlines, and with culturally, educationally, and racially diverse internal and external customers.
- Ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact, and diplomacy to accomplish objectives.
- Ability to innovate, research and think creatively.
- A capacity to solve problems, to stay organized and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, (EdReflect preferred).

Essential Job Functions :
1. Manage the implementation of the Districts growth and evaluation process by ensuring that users utilize the appropriate evaluation guidelines, processes, tools, and resources.

2. Plan and implement onboarding and training sessions for supervisors and supervisees on the evaluation process.

3. Provide guidance to supervisors in the overall implementation of the evaluation process including the development of caseloads and support plans for employees.

4. Identify resources to support supervisors and supervisees in their participation of the evaluation process.

5. Facilitate and compile the collection of data for the creation of evaluation reports which are disseminated to supervisors and supervisees.

6. Support and contribute to the improvement and refinement of the evaluation process and tools.

7. Manage the Districts Evaluation Tracking System for employee role groups.

8. Train and support new users on the Evaluation Tracking System.

9. Serve as a point of contact for schools and departments to assist with account management and troubleshooting issues related to Evaluation Tracking System.

10. Ensure availability of student learning and growth measures, by partnering with relevant district departments and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

11. Collaborate with relevant district departments to support the collection of elective student data

12. Support and participate in focus group meetings with employee groups to ensure regular and continuous improvement of the evaluation processes.

13. Manage and implement communications regarding relevant evaluation systems, processes, deadlines, and timelines to all employees.

14. Monitor and track trend data related to evaluation outcomes for various role groups.

15. Provide feedback to the Director, Performance Management that informs annual updates to the growth and evaluation guidelines, processes, tools, and resources.

16. Support the teams within the Human Resources department with employee effectiveness data to inform staffing processes and employee relations decisions.

17. Handle all growth and evaluation process inquires in a responsive, customer-focused manner, providing a comprehensive first line of information and advice.

18. Support the maintenance and creation of online PD modules, as needed.

19. Provide regular updates to the Director of Performance Management regarding progress towards goals and challenges to meeting goals.

20. Participate in departmental, team, and individual planning and goal- setting.

21. Communicate effectively and confidently at all levels, over the phone, face-to-face, and electronically.

22. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
