The HR Service Center Specialist role is a great way to learn about HR systems, data, and processes by providing support to Human Resources, Payroll, and Benefits. We are currently looking to fill a temporary virtual position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, providing employee assistance as the initial point of contact for the Human Resources function.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely data changes sent via the manager self-service, HR information system.
  • Responsible for new hire/termination check lists .
  • Resolve or escalate requisition and applicant tracking system question.
  • Resolve or escalate employee and manager self-service questions and time & attendance system questions.
  • Resolve or escalate questions related to pay, benefits, leaves of absence, workers compensation, the employee handbook and related HR systems and processes.
  • Deep under standing and support of the HR ticketing system. R esponsible for monitoring, resolving or distributing incoming mail, emails, faxes and telephone calls.
  • Support a universal paperless employee record system. Manage all employee records in a legally compliant manner.
  • Create and email new hire welcome letters .
  • Responsible for the ongoing upkeep of all active and terminated files, including create new hire files, pull and re-file terminated files and coordinating Iron Mountain requests.
  • Complete and process state unemployment emailed/paper requests only in conjunction with third party administrator .
  • Assist with Employment verification calls and faxes , leveraging Equifax as appropriate .
  • Provide support for end of school year and back to school processes (collecting cert ifications , related documents, recording paperwork, data entry into payroll system).
  • Make photocopies, fax documents, and perform other clerical functions.
  • Maintain skills through required training and coaching .

REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
  • 2-4 years ' experience providing HR related administrative support
  • 2-4 year s' customer service experience required (internal or external)
  • Experience supporting HR compliance processes
  • Experience documenting and training on process and procedure
  • 1-3 years HR Information System , Applicant Tracking System and data management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
  • 1-3 years' experience supporting the workers comp ensation process preferred
  • 1-3 years' experience supporting the payroll process preferred
  • This is currently a remote position, will require a quiet dedicated space to work
