Camp R.I.S.E. – Classroom Summer Teacher (Horrell Hill and Hyatt Park)
Title: Classroom Teacher (6 openings)
Classification: Licensed
Reports To: R.E.S.E.T. Coordinator
Work Time: July 5- July 29
Time: 8:30am-1:30pm
Wages: $30 per hour
Job Purpose Statement/s:
Candidate will effectively supports the education of students who exhibit behavioral disorders and will work closely with the Behavioral Interventionist.

Essential Requirements:
A. Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education
B. A valid teaching license
C. Experience and expertise in student behavior management and collaborative problem solving;
D. Ability to provide leadership to staff in areas of specialization;
E. Excellent interpersonal skills to consult effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents, in a variety of settings;
F. Very good command of oral and written English language and ability to present effectively to large groups;
G. Physical ability to assist staff in physical management of students in crisis;
H. Ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures or backgrounds in English, Spanish, or other languages related to the job;
I. Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district patrons;
J. The ability to work harmoniously with others;
K. Knowledge of age appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum framework, education and special education law and appropriate instructional subjects.

Essential Responsibilities:
A. Assist and support building and District staff and parents in the development, implementation and revision of student behavior intervention plans;
B. Provide support to staff in all areas related to emotional disturbance and behavior disorders and interventions;
C. Instruct and direct assigned instructional assistants to maximize delivery of instructional services;
D. Collects appropriate student performance data for determining the extent to which student IEP goals and objectives are achieved;

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stand, lift more than 10 pounds, pull and follow the guidelines of CPI.
Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting: As mandatory reporter (ORS.419b.010) you are required to immediately report to Law Enforcement and or Department of Human Services, any instances of suspected child abuse.
