The Academy of the Holy Names is an independent, Catholic, coeducational elementary school and a college preparatory high school for young women, sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. Employment Opportunity: The Academy of the Holy Names seeks a Middle School Instructional Coach and Curriculum Coordinator who is talented and energetic for the 2021-2022 school year. This position is a 12-month position and reports to the ES Principal.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
Master's Degree in Education or related field preferred.
Florida Teaching Certificate.
Developmental Designs certificate (or ability to complete a 4-day course over summer).
Cognitive Coaching training preferred.

Position Responsibilities:
1. Create an environment based on respect and that reflects the values and mission of the Sisters of the Holy Names.
2. Foster a collaborative culture to support educator development and student learning.
3. Strong understanding of the research behind the most effective teaching practices for improving student achievement.
4. Use research to improve practice and student learning.
5. Remain updated on journals and disperse information to teachers.
6. Willingness and comfort with modeling teaching practices.
7. Promote professional learning for continual improvement.
8. Work with the current administration to develop a three-year plan for continued growth and improvement by setting goals, objectives, and action steps for the middle school to reach them.
9. Facilitate improvements in instruction and student learning by overseeing the middle school PLCs.
10. Work with department heads to ensure vertical alignment.
11. Plan and lead department head meetings.
12. Promote the use of assessments and data for school improvement.
13. Improve communication and collaboration with families and community, through education and newsletters.
14. Serve as a classroom coach and help to continue to train faculty and staff.
15. Work with administration to develop and support a cohesive approach to all curriculum and to provide the PD and coaching necessary to implement.
16. Make connections with faculty through walkthroughs, team meetings, formal coaching, PLCs, and on-site training.
17. Assist the Guidance Counselor in assessing student reading levels with Fountas & Pinnell.
18. Have knowledge of online academic programs and provide teacher and student support when needed.
19. Other duties as assigned by the Principal.
