Organization: Cambridge Agenda for Children and Cambridge Public Schools

This role will serve as the assistant to the coordinator of the Elementary School Out-of-School Time Network which
is a coordinated and committed coalition of the Cambridge Out-of-School Time providers, schools, families, and community partners who work together to provide equitable access to quality learning experiences for JK-5th grade students.

This position requires a self motivated, organized individual that is comfortable with taking on project initiative independently. The Elementary School Out-of-School Time Network assistant would report to the Elementary School Out-of-School Time Network Coordinator managing the projects and the responsibilities below, and work with other staff as needed.

Responsibilities:
Community Outreach and Publication:
- Complete outreach within our network of Out-of-School Time programs in Cambridge to update program
information in our Resource Guide for K-5th graders.
- Work with Find It Cambridge to integrate both resources and streamline what providers need to give/update
on each resource

Communications:
- Manage spreadsheet for texting initiative. Communicate with associated stakeholders and gather
information for upcoming family engagement events, opportunities, important deadlines, meetings,
tips and tools to navigate systems, statistics: that promote school, OST-programs and healthy
parent/child relationships, positive and uplifting quotes.
- Analyze the communication needs of the Elementary School Out-of-School Time Network and assist in
creating materials that pare down information and format it for different audiences.
- Interview a different parent or stakeholder each month to highlight their strengths and contributions
to their family, program and/or community for our monthly newsletter.
- Email and text Bi-weekly reminders to parents.

Managing and Using Data:
- Identify data sources to build collective understanding of needs and interest of children and families in
grades JK-5.

Facilitation:
- Co-Facilitate Elementary School Out-of-School Time Network meetings, Out-of-School Time and Community
Partner convenings, and Parent Advisory Group meetings.
- Take attendance, notes, assist in managing zoom meetings or in-person meetings.

Requirements:
- Team-oriented approach.
- Desire to get to know Cambridge institutions, schools and community organizations.
- Good organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people from different ethnic ,
educational, and soci-economic backgrounds.
- Experience in and commitment to data collection and collection and analysis, program planning, noting
taking/documentation.
- Proficiency and/or commitment to developing proficiency with Office products, Google and Zoom.
- Minimum High School Diploma

Period of Contract April 15, 2021 through June 30, 2022
Amount of Contract: Not to exceed $3,700
Payment Terms: $24 per hour
