    Swasey Central School in Brentwood, NH, K-5 school with 300 students, seeks an energetic Food Service/Culinary professional with proven management skills and culinary expertise to manage all aspects of our school lunch program. Innovation in food knowledge, preparation and service, staff training and supervision, are essential skills for this position to provide high quality nutritious meals in an atmosphere of safety, professionalism, reflecting a passion for K-5 school nutrition programs. Must possess good organization skills, effective oral/written communications skills, leadership skills.

    Experience/Education:
    •Culinary education, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Culinary, preferred.


    •Three - four years of food service supervisory experience preferred.

    •ServSafe certification (District will provide, if needed)

    NH Allergen certification (District will provide, if needed)

    General Statement of Duties:

    Supervises and/or prepares the food to be cooked, serving and storing of food items for student and non-student meals. Supervises the sanitation and utility functions. Performs and supervises the financial responsibilities of the department, including an understanding of Federal/State regulations for school lunch programs.

    Duties and Responsibilities - may include, but are not limited to:

    Supervises and/or plans the preparation, cooking, and serving of all food and supplies to students and/or staff or visitors, in an attractive, appetizing manner.


    Knowledge/ understanding of the National School Lunch program.

    Budgeting and school accounts, monthly menu preparation, checks receipt of goods, signs for goods and services received. Performs and supervises in counting and processing cash and checks according to appropriate accounting methods. Inventory of equipment and supplies.

    Uses computerized point of sale system, and generates computer reports on daily and monthly basis. Sets up, serves and breaks down special functions. Insures that all staff is following safety and sanitation procedures at all times.

    Compensation:

    This position is a school year, 40-hour work week; days worked when school is in session or per schedule as assigned. Employee benefits available, Salary range is commensurate with experience. Start date is August, 2021.
