Job Description:

We are seeking a team of entrepreneurial self-starters with excellent project management skills and a keen eye for talent to join the Talent Office on a part-time basis as Talent Sourcers. This team will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team and play a critical role in recruiting & sourcing high-performing talent for roles for Central Office and Citywide departments (including nurses, social workers, seasonal hiring, and more). This flexible, fast-paced role is full of opportunities to design and implement new and impactful initiatives. This role is planned to be 15-25 hours weekly.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively utilize sourcing techniques (e.g. direct sourcing, internet data mining, search engines, networking, talent mapping, employee referrals, etc.) to drive active and passive candidate flows and fill vacancies;
  • Devise new and innovative approaches to recruitment outreach and selection processes;
  • Craft and disseminate recruiting communications to cultivate candidate relationships and create talent pipelines for current and future talent needs;
  • Promote the CPS employer brand online in partnership with internal departments as needed;
  • Communicate CPS' unique value proposition to attract and engage key talent;
  • Identify new addressable markets, recruiting tools, and opportunities for finding top talent;
  • Reengage prior applicants regarding new career opportunities as applicable;
  • Cultivate and maintain a diverse network of potential candidates, including those who are passively looking, in anticipation of talent needs;
  • Partner with business partners and Talent Directors to proactively plan for future talent needs and strategize talent implications related to structural organizational changes;
  • Identify and maintain partnerships with key colleges & universities, organizations and external partners to establish and expand talent pipelines;
  • Provide a high-quality candidate experience completing pre-screening and aiding in selection processes;
  • Develop and execute methods to track recruitment metrics to aid in strategy evaluation and to drive process efficiencies;
  • Analyze and report performance data and efficacy of sourcing strategies at an aggregate level; and
  • Support Talent Team on additional ad hoc projects as necessary


Qualifications

Preferred candidates for the position have direct human resources or recruitment experience in a fast-paced work environment. High School diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Knowledge of Taleo Recruiting System and PeopleSoft HRMS preferred.

  • Experience sourcing candidates through multiple channels (e.g. web, social media, professional networks, etc.)
  • Knowledge and proven success at utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, boolean search strings, cold outreach and other similar direct sourcing tools
  • Demonstrable track record of sourcing, building and maintaining long-term pipeline and relationship management strategies
  • Experience with diversity & inclusion strategy and recruiting preferred
  • Experience as within human resources, corporate or agency recruiter preferred
