School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (Full Time & Part Time)

Futures Education is seeking to hire a School Based Speech Language Pathologist for schools we partner with in Chicago, IL for the 2021-2022 academic year.

As a member of our team, the SLP's responsibilities include:
  • Plan for and provide targeted therapy for a variety of students on your caseload
  • Collect data on student achievement for the purpose of documenting activities, preparing reports and/or updating Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct formal assessments to evaluate a student's eligibility for speech and language services
  • Participate in school based meetings to present evaluation results and discuss how to best support a student's identified needs
  • Develop and implement IEPs, monitor and report on progress toward goals as part of the special education team
  • Support classroom teachers concerning any language needs of general education students by conducting screenings and providing tier interventions

Qualifications:
  • Possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathology Endorsement
  • Masters Degree in Speech Pathology & Communication Disorders from an accredited college or university
  • New Grads encouraged to apply

Required Skills

Masters Degree in Speech Pathology & Communication Disorders
Professional Educators License (PEL)
ASHA Certification (CCC)
Valid Speech Language License
Experience with collaborative groups and the ability to thrive in a student-centered environment
Related school-based experience and familiarity with the Impact Service Capture program preferred
Bilingual preferred, not required.
