    The Westport Board of Education will provide academic support to address learning loss or learning gaps that have occurred as a result of the COVID pandemic. In addition, the district will provide programs that address the social emotional well-being of students.

    Functions:
    • Teachers will be responsible for teaching reading - or - math to three separate classes of approximately 16 students. Each class will be the same grade level.
    • Students will participate in reading, mathematics and an engaging activity that addresses children's physical, social and emotional development each day. The additional activity will be planned and run by Continuing Education.

    Qualifications:
    • Completed application
    • Connecticut Middle School or Secondary Teacher Certification

    Session Dates & Hours:
    • July 6 - July 30
    • Four days per week
    • Anticipated hours: 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
    Rate:
    $76 per hour (three hours a day - including planning time)

    Structure:
    • (Two) 1- hour long classes each day
