JOB GOAL
Technology Applications Curriculum Developer is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating both Technology Applications (K- 8) and Computer Science (Grades 9- 12) curriculum, and related programs relevant to the needs of the student population . Al so, Technology Applications Curriculum Developer is responsible for providing technical assistance, creating professional development opportunities, and enrich ment of STEM SOS PBL Model in Computer science

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• M inimum three years of teaching experience
• Experience in working with technology tools, network, educational software and computers (preferred)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Understands an d supports the mission, vision and values of Harmony Public Schools.
• Supports HPS Technology Applications and Computer Science curriculum for grades K- 12.
• Creates professional development for Instructional Coaches and teachers that align with district goals
• Assists in the improvement of Technology Applications a nd Computer Science curriculum aligned with program of studies; programming, web development, cybersecurity and design & multimedia arts, and also ensures integration of 21st century skills.
• Works collaboratively with the technology applications and comp uter science teachers, SCLs, and curriculum writers. Guides, supports and gives feedback for the developed instructional materials, assessments and pacing calendars.
• Prepares guides to solve network problems while using educational software, administration of online assessment tools and given access to the curriculum resources.
• Supports development of summative assessments including District Assessments (District Benchmarks and content- based assessments (CBAs)).
• Improves the quality of SLOs, CBAs and DAs. Increases the liability of test administration.
• Enriches the curriculum with Project Based Learning, leads efforts to implement these in the existing HPS curricula, Technology Applications and Computer Science programs.
• Works with all related HPS Staff to create training modules, workshops and manuals of the Technology Applications and computer science PBL Program.
• Identifies teacher training needs and manages teacher-training modules for technology applications and CTE courses.
• Develops and enriches K- 8 grade level technology applications and elementary STEM programs with digital literacy, coding, 3D design, engineering and robotics resources.
• Supports robotics events and competitions. Prepares guides and resources to increase t he student participation and the quality of curricular and extracurricular robotics programs.
• Conducts testing of new or existing technology products while working with teachers, curriculum developers, and curriculum coaches to provide technical solution s for new software appli cations and tools purchased within HPS districts.
• Works collaboratively with innovation lab to promote physical coding through MicroBit, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, robotics, drone and other ROVs
• Publishes safety protocols and guidelines for te chnology labs, STEM Labs, wood/metal/machine shops and Maker Spaces at HPS campuses.
• Maintains awareness of state accountability and current trends in the area of Technology.
• Helps to coordinate and evaluate the curricula and instructional programs of the HPS and provides appropriate recommendation and guidance for change and/or modification.
• Runs and analyzes reports from personalized learning software.
• Seeks out and attends relevant conferences and professional development sessions
• Visits HPS ca mpuses, as needed.
• Attends meetings.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• K nowledge of Technology Applications and computer science programs and curriculum
• Ability to write and revise curriculum for Technology Applications and Computer Science
• Ability to operate shop tools and equipment.
• Ability to analyze and interpret state learning standards
• Ability to use advanced computer systems including software (Adobe, CAD design, a major Programming Language (e.g. C, C++, Java, Python).
• Ability to troubleshoot technical and network issues and come up wit h efficient solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the district.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.
• Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software, calculator, copy machine and telephone.
• Ability to use effective interview techniques, effective public speaking skills, and problem- solving skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.
• Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
• Position is in office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
• Excessive travel is required.
