The Business Development Specialist is responsible for driving business performance by executing initiatives and processes for child recruitment, retention, prospect management, and enrollment performance. Working closely with the Director, Enrollment Management and Marketing and academy leadership to interpret the appropriate metrics to support the research and development of potential new opportunities and evaluate and increase current individual academy efforts for the market. The Specialist will be responsible for the conversion of leads in the assigned market.

Essential Duties:

Develop and manage recruiting leads through successful conversion to increase enrollment in all academies within the assigned market(s).

Directly responsible for validity of data entered, updated, and stored in CRM Program and is required to validate all information.

In partnership with the director, develop and implement a dynamic, anticipatory, forward-looking, thoughtful and comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan that aligns with Brightside Academy’s strategic initiatives ensuring a strong link between market demand, regional priorities and financial performance.

Build and maintain strong, collaborative and facilitative relationships with leadership across academies, working in partnership with the Regional Operations, the A/R Team, Family Advocates and others to develop and implement short- and long-term enrollment plans.

Support professional development of Academy Directors to support recruiting lead generation, enrollment followup and conversion.

Contribute to the implementation of comprehensive strategic enrollment processes including market research and segmentation, performance marketing, promotional strategies, recruitment tactics, and retention efforts to meet the BSA enrollment goals.

Work collaboratively with and influence Academy Directors to utilize location enrollment and retention data and family characteristics to develop and successfully execute action plans to increase enrollment and retention.

In partnership with the director, develop and maintain business processes and relationships for effective departmental and cross-departmental functions related to enrollment management and marketing.

In partnership with director, collaborate with regional and academy teams to successfully launch new programs (i.e. Head Start and UPK) including marketplace positioning, launch/awareness building strategies, and ongoing implementation and growth post launch.

Execute, as directed, BSA’s community relations and enrollment marketing activities including SEO, PPC, online banner advertising, email, signage, print, direct mail, content marketing, social media, grassroots marketing and recruitment events to effectively market Brightside Academy to prospective families in the communities we serve.

Support lead application scoring to ensure proper funding streams for each lead and accurate data capture in any and all BSA systems.

Support all markets and be required to travel as needed to ensure successful implementation of recruiting, retention and marketing strategies to equal 30-50% of the time.

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), and a minimum of one year of experience in client acquisition is required. The Specialist must be a highly efficient, effective, results and challenge driven individual with a strong business acumen and broad knowledge encompassing the critical areas of recruiting lead conversion. The position requires experience in relationship building, customer relations, public relations, retention, and the development of markets. The successful candidate will have strong quantitative skills; be a strategic thinker capable of critically analyzing data to collaborate on changing market initiatives; and be a quick learner. The Specialist must be articulate, an effective presenter that can build synergy and rapport among departments throughout the organization.

Entry level knowledge of recruitment funnel development and management and proven success in creating, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive enrollment plan.

Strong organizational and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build consensus in a service-oriented environment.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

A strong understanding of the use of current and emerging technologies, techniques and strategies including the optimization of CRM, performance marketing, search optimization, lead acquisition, social media, etc.

Ability to provide strong leadership while engendering trust and exhibiting excellence and transparency.

Ability to engage staff in building on past successes while fostering change.

Outstanding oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to listen and collaborate with diverse audiences and acting as a team player.
