General Description
Alliance Center for Education is searching for an energetic TEACHER to plan and implement instructional learning experiences for children 3 to 5 years of age in the Head Start Program. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to advance the intellectual and physical development of children, improve the readiness of children for school by developing their literacy and phonemic print and numeracy awareness, improve their understanding and use of increasingly complex and varied vocabulary, improve their appreciation of books, and improve problem-solving abilities and individualization techniques.
Position Placement:
Position is Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Position reports to: Center Director
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education or a related degree is a must. Three-five years of experience working with children 3-5 years of age is required. Head Start experience preferred. Should possess excellent computer, written/verbal communication skills. Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply .
Applicant must submit Criminal Records Check/ with fingerprint - subsequent to Qualifying Letter.
Applicant must submit copy of education transcript, DCDEE workforce letter and resume
Applicant must present evidence of current physical
Applicant must present evidence of current TB test
Applicants will be subject to background check and drug test and be subject to post-employment random drug screening.
